Esther Block, Consultant Clinical Psychologist

Esther Block is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in the NHS.

Esther offers therapy to families and children for a wide range of emotional issues. Esther is also a professionally trained family therapist; she draws on and integrates different therapeutic models to help the family and young person in the best way. She has worked with a range of agencies and provides supervision across disciplines. She has managed Child and Adolescent Mental Heath teams in health, social care and schools.

Esther enjoys working with children and adolescents across the age range. She has experience in working with looked after and adopted children and specialises in working with trauma. She also works with families where a child is diagnosed with a neuropsychological difficulty (such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism), collaborating with famillies to work through difficulties and identity potential solutions.

Qualifications

Esther is a qualified Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She has a Masters (MA) in Systemic Family Therapy from the Tavistock.
